The new building has a covered area of 1,100m2 and a free space of 300m2 corresponding to 10% of the total plot required by urban planning regulations. The use of heavy machinery and of large dimensions for the production of perforated sheet, it forces a plant of wide lights between supports.The structure is prefabricated of steel and is formed by two bays of five porches saving a light of 15m and by a standardized roof of skylights. It is made of pre-lacquered corrugated steel and the interior is made of corrugated sheet per galvanized steel housing to absorb the high noise produced inside the ship The proposal basically focuses on the elaboration of the main facade of Progreso Street and the rear façade. The placement of the horizontal corrugated sheet, the formation of two large longitudinal overtures, the execution of the access doors in the same plane as the exterior enclosure, the continuity between the constructed facade of the ship and the enclosure of the patio of different height, together with the eave and cantilever of both facades, Unify the exterior image of the entire building by accentuating its horizontality.The translucent horizontal stripes on the two facades allow the capture of natural light inside the ship during the day and the visual attraction from the outside of the factory in operation with artificial light overnight.
